The Pacific Northwest urban canopy produces dramatically figured wood, yet the unfortunate reality is much of it never makes it to a shop floor.  The commercial reality is straightforward: unless a log is large enough, long enough, and straight enough, it will not interest a production mill.  Instead, these logs get chipped for mulch, bucked for firewood, or sent to the pulp mill, regardless of the incredible beauty locked inside.

Lakewood Live Edge is passionate about saving our urban timber.  Through our sister company, Ranger Tree Experts, we have direct access to exceptional logs sourced from our local community.  The highest value material goes into our kiln first, prioritized specifically to stay ahead of the natural process through fungus and insects, which breaks down logs back into soil.  What comes out the other side is kiln-dried, locally sourced, and truly extraordinary wood which cannot be found through conventional supply chains.

While we do not offer to remove your trees we can refer you a few tree service companies in your area who can care for or remove your trees.
